We are seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join the ResLife Allocations Team. In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination and allocation of University of Bath-managed and Nomination Agreement accommodation. You will ensure that students' accommodation needs are met through the allocation process, providing additional support to those with specific requirements.

This is a diverse and fast-paced role that requires energy, initiative, and a proactive approach. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational and data management skills. Clear, efficient communication is essential, as you will be responding to student inquiries, addressing feedback, and providing important information that impacts their accommodation experience.

This permanent position, known internally as Building Coordinator, is ideally suited to someone with an administrative and customer service background who wants to advance their career in a busy and supportive workplace.

The Building Coordinator will join the Residence Life Operations team full-time (36.5 hours) and provide leadership to cleaning staff to ensure the provision of high-quality services.

Shifts are 5 days out of 7, therefore some weekend working is expected on a rota basis (but this is mainly during the summer months). There is variety in the role as during summer when students leave, our student accommodation transforms into a commercial business with summer schools, conferences and visitors to Bath enjoying our rooms and facilities.
 
Working hours are 9 am-5.20 pm.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operational day-to-day running of a section of university accommodation.
  • Management of the staffing therein to achieve an effective and efficient service for the customers.
  • Conducting regular 1-1 and team meetings with domestic assistants/cleaners and porter staff
  • Completing accommodation checks
  • Responding to customer feedback on our IT systems
  • Reporting maintenance issues
  • Planning and achieving turnaround of accommodation, for example preparing rooms for student intake.
  • Stock ordering and management.

Ideally, our candidates will demonstrate:

  • A desire to deliver high standards of service.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Ability to be adaptable and flexible.
  • Experience in an administrative role.
  • Experience in a customer-focused role.
  • Experience in stock management.
